Unit 1 Intro to Physics



In this unit, you will be introduced to the subject of physics. It includes a partial treatment of the nature and evolution of physics, physics' place in science and culture, mathematics in physics,experimental design, scientific method (again, ughh) and proper experimental measurement techniques.

For your test you should be able to:

1) Define the following vocabulary words:

2) Develop an operational definition of the term science.
3) Discuss the role of mathematics in the development of physics.
4) Write a lab report in the format that I require.
5) Describe how scientific laws are developed.
6) Analyze the elements of scientific method.
7) Compare and contract science and technology.
